Coach Johnny Steaks

We are happy to announce that we have added personal and team coaching from LAB Athlete coach Johnny Sheaks.


Knoweldge and experience 

John is a recent graduate from Long Beach State where he played D1 baseball for the Dirtbags across a span of 3 years. While at Long Beach State he threw over 100 innings and finished with a combined record of 10-5, he also helped the Dirtbags get within one game of the college World Series in 2017. Before Long Beach John played 2 seasons at Saddleback Junior College and was a 2014 graduate of San Clemente High School.

Train and Influence

John brings fundamental baseball knowledge and incorporates it into all training programs. His experience opens opportunity to teach, train and influence aspiring young athletes (all ages and levels of the sport).

Improve

1 hour sessions

Group and One On One Group and One On One Sessions consist of explosive double and single leg work as well as strengthening decelerating muscles throughout the torso. Core strength and flexibility is a major focus as well.

Skill Development 

Pitching One on One Pitching Lesson: 1/2 hour of skill development. Privates consist of a mechanical evaluation and drills to increase velocity and pitch command.

Batting One on One batting: 1/2 Hour of skill development. We focus on increasing batting skills by building from the ground up. The combined proper weight distribution and bat path maximizes swing potential and hitting aggressiveness.

Fielding Fielding Group: 1 hour Skill Development.Fielding Group Work consists of lateral movements and utilizes positioning to maximize momentum when making athletic baseball movements.
